Well can England do what a lot of teams haven’t been able to do and beat Mexico in their own back yard?

It’ll be a Hostile atmosphere but it’s up to the England players to overcome that remain fully focused and not be intimidated

I’ve got work on the Monday morning but even so I’ll be staying up to watch it live as watching it on record just won’t be the same

It should be a great match if England don’t allow themselves to be intimidated and remain fully committed and focused then there’s no reason why they can’t win

It only comes around once every four years so let’s get behind the team and cheer the Lads on 💪🏻

Pleased it's on BBC. Better commentators and co comms too. Usually a good panel, especially Joe Hart. Oh and best of all, no adverts. I timed a recent ITV game, over the 15 mins at half time, just 4 mins was given over to actual panel discussions.

"According to the local weather, 80% chance of a thunderstorm during the match"

It does have the potential of a delayed kick-off time , ,,if England are to bring it home the game v Mexico might actually be the easiest game ( on paper ) the remainder being (potentially) ,,QF Brazil,,SF Argentina,,F France

Alan Shearer was a brilliant footballer there is no doubt about that, and yet he only won one medal in his career. And that was with Blackburn Rovers. His two team mates at Blackburn, Henning Berg and David May won medals and trophies when they chose to join Manchester United. I like Shearer, great footballer.

He was pretty bad,,, tried to let the game flow but he allowed to many fouls, just let the Paraguayans intimidate just a little bit too much.

Exactly mate I’m not for one minute saying he wasn’t a great striker as his record literally speaks for itself in fact I don’t think it will ever be beaten

I just find him boring to listen too when he’s commenting and of course he hates every to do with Sunderland so as you can imagine he’s not well liked by us Mackems 😁

It’s football at the end of the day and I’m sure there’s plenty folk who don’t like Roy Keane who personally I’m a big fan of as he tells it exactly how it is and was one of the best captains ever to grace the premier league

"Paraguay what an embarrassment !!! Fair play to Mbappe for his cool !! "

When the game started I actually wanted Paraguay to win, being the underdogs. What followed was an absolute disgrace, they were like 1980's Athletco Bilbao with a touch of 1960's Argentina.

The refereeing was an absolute joke, they deserved 3 or 4 red cards and never received a single yellow.

Well none of the key decisions went the way of Egypt.

They have a fantastic goal ruled out for what is a technical foul with foot to foot contact.

How is that different to the foot contact on Salah just before Argentina's third? It's still a Foul.

I trying to remember who it was and I can't ,a manager , after his team had missed a couple of penalties , he said that his centre half would now be taking the spot kicks because he hits the ball harder than anyone else, I am instructing him to run from the 18 yard line and kick the ball as hard as he can , hopefully keeping it down ,if he blazes it over the bar none of our fans are to criticise him , he is following my orders , it's my fault if he misses and my brilliant managerial skills if he scores
