I might add that it was very kind of Sir Whatshisname [outgoing PM] to allow pubs to stay open until 5am. Will it be worth their while? Will they be well attended? Will noisy revellers wake up neighbourhoods wandering home after 5am singing, shouting, swearing or even fighting? Having been a publican all I can say is that I'm glad to be out of it. Noticed a lot of pubs are saying they will be closing at the normal time this evening.

Can't say I blame them. Semi or finals, yes, but still relatively early on. Staff may have kids to get to school or other people to think about.

Went past several places wed night showing it were less than half empty. I imagine be same tonight.

I think the most important aspect in this game is who scores first, if England do them they will win 0-2.

Agree the first goal could be crucial especially at the Mexico fans will make it as hostile as they possibly can so it’s imperative we try to stay focused and try to get that early goal to settle us down and subdue the crowd

What we can’t afford to do is concede early
