Basically verifications are information. No verifications increases the likelihood that you are dealing with a fantasist or talker. And, like Tripadvisor reviews, if you can use them to avoid a bad experience, why wouldn’t you…..?

I don't publish mine. I changed my account name, had a rest and came back. With both accounts I have had those with verifications be fantasists, I get more tired and pissed off with pics that are ten years old.

Also, a lot of veris are unbelievably slanted to repeat visits, a true gentleman, don't miss yhe chance guys, god knows what the reviewers look like, because when I have met some of the 5 star recipients, quite often I am disappointed. I have gained experience being on here. Messaging helps, a good warning sign is, I cannot take a picture, phone/computer problems. You just know "athletic" in the description is unlikely.

I tend to avoid users with no verifications if they have been here a while, can indicate that they just don't meet. People don't have to display the verifications but knowing someone has actually been verified tells me they do actually meet.

What I don't like is the number of people who just won't verify after a meet, I don't have to display your verification, but acknowledgement that we met is appreciated.

Verifications are a useful tool and something which differentiates/enhances this site. Comments such as "verifications are best taken with a pinch of salt" are best taken with a pinch of salt!? 😁
