Can anyone help with this as I think our messages are being infiltrated.

I sent a message to a guy this morning then sent him a 2nd message adding my number then sent a 3rd message.

The guy hadn't been on line for 12 hours the 1st message hadn't been read as obviously the guy hasn't read it.

The 2nd message HAD been read regarding my number and still the guy hasn't been on line.

The 3rd message hasn't been read either either only the 2nd message has been read..

Has this happened to anyone else?

It’s not obligatory to read messages, and I certainly wouldn’t give out my number freely to strangers on here.

Messages can be read, then marked as unread by recipient. I soletimes us this as a reminder to get back to the guy, particularly if I'm not at home. As above I wouldn't be giving out my number if I wasn't sure he'd read my message, much safer to wait for a reply

I agree with the read/unread bit but if they weren't showing as having been online then how was one read..?

If you get email notifications for messages you get the text of the message as part of that notification - so it's entirely possible for someone to "read" a message without having been on-line on the site.

If I do message anyone it’s just the one time!

If they don’t answer or don’t read it I presume they’re not interested and move on

I think you are missing the point the reason these messages haven't been read it because the guy hasn't been on line ffs its that simple only one person got HOW CAN A MESSAGE BE READ WITHOUT BEING ON LINE , DOESN'T MATTER WHAT IVE SENT HIM IN MY MESSAGES THATS BETWEEN ME AND THIS GUY.. HOW CAN MESSAGES 1 AND 3 NOT BE READ BUT MESSAGE 2 CAN AND THEY WERE SENT MINUTES AFTER EACHOTHER ..

The only time I message guys is to thank them for fabbing a pic. I never instigate. Prefer them to contact me if they are interested. After that it's a message for a message. If no reply I just leave it. I never give out my number even after chatting for a while, definitely not after the first couple of messages

I have seen something like this too recently.

I’ve sent and received messages from a couple of people but then when looking at their profile it says they’ve not been online for a few days.

I have found over the time I've seen here that if sending multiple messages in a row, sometimes the unread disappears from a first or middle message while other remain marked unread. I've questioned people about this before and non had read the message that indicated they had been read, as suspected, it also would have been impossible as they hadn't been online to read it, yet it still indicated that they had. I'm putting it down to a system glitch on the site.
