A predominantly LGBTQ cruise ship has had permission to dock in an Egyptian port denied after being turned away from a Turkish port earlier in the week.

Though people of any and all sexual leanings should be able to enjoy their travels, what where the cruise management thinking in their choice of excursion ports

If homosexuality is illegal in a country why would the cruise company want you to go there at all?

They should have sailed down the coast to Gaza.

I hear they are very accepting of the LGBTQ community there

They’ve obviously not heard of the pink pound! Neither Egypt nor Turkey are great on food hygiene so I think the gays have dodged a bullet.

Nah. They would have all come down with norovirus before they got there

Homosexuality is not illegal in either of those countries, since Erdogan came to power they have been banning Pride marches and public displays of homosexuality. In Egypt again technically not illegal, they just don't like it and it is perfectly within the rights of a country to refuse Entry Visas to people they don't want in their country, in this case a cruise ship full of LGBT people.

Ironically, Homosexuality was made legal in Turkey over 100 years before it was made legal in the UK
