Hey guys, I'm gonna be staying in gran Canaria this January and looking to experience the local scene. Into outdoors sex, a good mix of local men and tourists would be good. Not massively into clubs but willing to check them out if worth it.

Have you got any recommendations where to stay in PDI? Any tips re cruising and local scene to check out?

A good mix of sun, sex and chill vibes is what I'm after. If you'll be there around mid Jan, give me a shout.

Hey m8, GC and specially PDI is fantastic if you haven’t stayed before. There is a multitude of accommodation and would suggest anywhere near to the Yumbo/Cita Centres, hotels are pretty good, the RIU, Catarina or Don Miguel are my favs on PDI but I generally bit for a bungalow near yumbo or self catering as I can please myself on food etc.

Cruising there is a small piece of land on Ave De Bonn at the corner of Yumbo which is popular for cruising at night, the gay beach and dunes are also popular but got to be more careful of Police/Rangers these days but alot of fun still happens day and night but be careful at night.

Cita centre me had a sex cinema, gay side and bi side which is quite popular during afternoons and the toilets in Cita are often frequented for sex by bi gay and curious guys. Yumbo I personally love toms bar with a dark play area free entry just buy a drink, cruise bar, the factory as they are full of up for it proper guy types and strong construction is popular for naked or jock cruising all these are €10 including coat check and drink included. No problems @_elshbilad, it is a great place for solo travel and you will soon get into the swing of it, I often travel solo and will be there solo 24-29jan and can’t wait.

A good place to just sit and take everything in and get a feel for the place etc is in Mardi Gras bar or one of them along that side on the bottom level of Yumbo.

Don't know! Haven't been down to the gay beach since before COVID, and at that time guys were just sunbathing,with a few couples hugging & snogging here and there. Action happened (unless I missed something) in the wooded area on the way to & fro, in the dunes. But now that's stopped because they've got wardens on patrol. Never liked it there that much, tbh - too many flies & mozzies!

Use the "who's near" function of the mobile app.

That said, if your only search tool is Fab, you'll be limiting yourself to other Brits in the area.

PDI is very cosmopolitan - Brits are a minority of the party-goers.

Using international sites like Romeo and the G-app will open up a much bigger audience in the area.

Wapo is popular among Spanish speakers, I believe.

If language barriers deter you, use "google translate" - it's not perfect, but it works.

the whole area is very liberal and decadent

the swinger couples gravitate towards the Cita centre and the gay community gravitates towards the Yumbo centre

there's a big overlap between the two

whatever you are looking for, you'll find it in PDI
