Hoping to try solo holiday to this place this year too but when priced it up I can be expensive as the holiday companies only seem to take the flights off the holiday cost and you end up paying for 2 people and not single occupancy

Playa del Ingles in Gran Canaria is the place for fun! It's a 4 hour flight so you pay for that, but there's a massive choice of accommodation - and you get what you pay for basically.
