Benidorm is the largest resort in Spain and so for closet guys like me nobody is going to question why you're going. It has plenty of gay bars and cruising venues and it's physically very big so if you're with other people there's opportunity to get away from them for fun and easily avoid bumping into them. If you are an out gay guy then there is a huge choice of gay places clustered in the small picturesque old town for you to meet others locally . There is a very wide choice of accommodation and would be cheaper and easier to get to than Stiges ie every airport in UK flies direct to Alicante the nearest airport and simple to book coach transfer if not included in a package deal. However. There is a very big area dominated by d*unken Brits . And giant TV screens showing non stop football like Blackpool on steroids in every bar. But Benidorm is big enough that you can easily avoid it. The beaches are magnificent and there is a beach front promenade that is great just to walk and people watch.

More Huge bars. And on the Strip everyone has massive TV screens playing football matches non stop...even when the music acts are on..!!! Drinks prices no longer dirt cheap but almost on par with UK. Oh and hundred of twats on invalid scooters and electric scooters whizzing in and out of pedestrians on the prom. But No more Time share pests every 10 yards.
