I have. The first beach past the town has a nudist section at the far end. It’s not a cruising beach and has families on it. It is accessible by foot in two ways: along the seafront promenade then climb up the rocks (good shoes needed) and walk across the top then down onto the beach. Or via the car park of the Sandos Papagayo hotel that removes the climbing bit.

On the first Papagayo beach, the majority of people wear swimwear. Only the section at the far end is where naturists are.

I’ve been to it many times and it has no cruisy vibe, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Be aware they’re not 24x7. I went there in April and around 5pm they were locked.

I have walked past these toilets many times and have on occassion seen a police car right outside the entrance. Its obvious they are aware of what goes on at times so just be aware

If your mrs is shy then the small beach near the old caravan/camper parking area past the Papagayo beaches is good, very secluded
