I've decided to jump in feet first and am visiting PDI for the first time from tomorrow night until friday. Staying at Playa Del Sol, seemed a reasonable price and location

Anyone on here in the same hotel or nearby and wanna meet up?

You're one of the last to stay there, Playa del Sol is closing, on 30th September, for refurbishments. It'll be at least a year before it reopens. Big loss for the year, as it is very popular, due to its proximity to Yumbo.

We came home on Sunday and they have already started ripping it apart, going to be very noisy from what we saw.

Agreed, it's only going to get worse. Starboys complex, close to Cita, is also being ripped apart.
