Yes I have a regulation Government issued one from the LCC (London County Council) date marks on crook end designate it to have been issued in 1953. I obtained it some years ago from an ex headmaster and he maintained that they were a regulation length and thickness and somehow treated so as to prevent them splitting in use as might happen with ordinary cane.
