I don't know any different since the age of 8 days old. True, much more prevalent in the USA, and Israel and the Muslim world. Elsewhere I think it's practiced only in response to religious or medical reasons, medical fads or even class aspiration! Drs over there just assume your going to have your baby cut. Unless you go out of your way to stop it, they'd have him on the slab before you know it. Then they throw a hissy fit when you say you don't want it done and start spewing all the "medical benefits". If they had to do it for free I bet they wouldn't be pushing the "benefits" so much.
