Pride?? PRIDE??!
I’ve just been to the “pride” parade in Maspalomas for the first time. Now I have nothing against a party, but this is NOT PRIDE!!!
Pride parades were a protest back in the day, a demand for equal rights!! We had balls!! The rights we earned little by little are not to be taken lightly, and need to be protected!!
What I witnessed today was a load of commercial b0llox!!
You have the freedom to be who you want thanks to all the brave soles who fought for you ……. So have your party, do as you please. But DONT CALL IT PRIDE!!
I certainly wasn’t proud today, more embarrassed…. especially by the behaviour of some!
Shame on you Maspalomas I had expected better!
