Hi anyone know if you go to a sexual health centre and go on prep would your GP be informed?

Absolutely sure, your sexual health clinic notes, including prescriptions, are not available to your GP.

"Absolutely sure, your sexual health clinic notes, including prescriptions, are not available to your GP.

Although it is probably a good idea to give permission for your GP to know as any treatment you get from Sexual Health (eg prep) could affect what your GP may prescribe for another condition you may have at a later stage - certainly drug combinations may have adverse reactions - so better safe than sorry.

I recently discovered that the sexual health “arm” of the NHS do not share information with other departments. Therefore your GP record would not show vaccinations received, Prep prescription etc from sexual health centres
