I thought the last thread was quite helpful to guys to read about experiences and perhaps address some of that nervous energy that prevents them from going to a sex on premises venue.

Rather than focus on stories in this one, I was thinking that guys who are too nervous to go alone could post a simple message in here

the closest sauna that they would visit as well as their/it's location

Examples:

Boiler house sauna in Dublin.

Basement sauna in Manchester.

Then you can PM each other outside the thread and maybe meet for a beer and go to the sauna together.

I'm not sure if links are allowed in here but I found a good article that completely explains the etiquette, culture, expectations, rules etc of sex on premises venues.

Downanddirty.org. - guide to crusing. It's a pdf file and very informative.

Most saunas have guides in the websites for first timers too.

I took this from one of my local saunas website:

"So it’s your first time and you’re a little unsure about what to expect…

Our venues are a no pressure environment. You do NOT have to participate in any sexual activity if you do not wish too. You’re more than welcome to come in, have a couple drinks from our fully licenced bar and use some of our amazing, top notch facilities which have given Wet On Wellington it’s name. Including, our large built in spa, greek inspired steam room and of course the 25m heated pool.

When you come to the venue, you’re welcome to be fully clothed in the downstairs area. Although, you will likely find that most of our patrons will either be dressed down into the towel provided, fully nude or in jocks or other forms of underwear. We do ask however, if you do decide to venture to the upstairs area, that you do dress down into on of the above. Food, drinks and alcohol are prohibited in the upstairs area. Mobile phones are also not allowed."

It's not as detailed as other guides but it's still useful.

I know going to a sauna might be a daunting concept but it's a safe space where you can drop your guard a little if that's a big concern for you. And obviously you can have a lot of fun, try kinks and love out some fantasies. Maybe you'll discover it's not your thing and that's ok too. But, at least you won't have to wonder what it's like anymore lol. And of course, if you're struggling to find someone or a place to accommodate for fun - now you have a new option.
