I used to live there, don't go into the seafront clubs , they are full of d*unk London wannabes. Goto kemptown they have a big selection of places from cafes to clubs.

Some of them are "underground" type places but worth the trouble.

Went back this weekend and had a great time

Basically avoid West Street. It's full of chaos and busy. Also a lot of questionable takeaways up there.

Try east of the Pier. There's a club on the seafront t that's a specifically LGBT friendly club. There are loads of bars and smaller hotels, B&Bs etc, cafes etc.

Basically have a great time!
