I use a long flexible dildo, but like all things it takes consistent practice, ease the dildo in until you feel yourself on the verge of gagging, and then ease back very slightly and allow your throat to relax practice for maybe 10 minutes a day and after a week or so your kind you can take it deeper and for longer as your gag, reflex diminishes.
