Definition of Athletic

I was thinking about some of the profiles here and a lot of the guys saying they’re “athletic” and then you click on the images and - erm… well athletic isn’t exactly what I’d call it.. what’s the definition? Are you athletic? Because I imagine well toned thin body.

I guess it is all down to their own perception? I had to look then to see what I had put myself down as

I would imagine though, that you'd have to be in some way athletic, i.e physically active and sporty

I've been into fitness all of my life and have met a great many truly athletic types. When set against them there is no way that I would describe myself as 'athletic' but other people, who aren't into fitness, might well think otherwise as they have little or no experience of what an athletic build is. It's all subjective at the end of the day but I do think some people big themselves up an awful lot on here. Some who describe themself as athletic are rather tubby.

I am a distance runner. 5' 10" 10st 13lb. I am athletic.

A 20 stone strength guy is also athletic.

Well I carry my beer belly but run 3 times a week and consider myself fair fit .so athletic is what you think .big or small

By comparison, I'm the opposite of athletic unfortunately

I'm 6'2", 75 kilos/12 stone and train 10+ hours a week
