Weardale, County Durham

The caravan and motorhome club is good if youre new to caravanning. They have quality sites all over the country.

Try using local site to your storage. Just so you get used to set up etc. always someone on sites at caravan and camping sites that will help you if stuck. I use bright side at upper benefield when I get new awning or want just a night away it is right across from storage

All the time, I'm a member of both clubs, if using main club sites I prefer the Camping and Caravan club as I find their staff more friendly, though some of their sites have limited Caravan pitches. I'm planning 19 weeks away this year, I've already had 4, going to Wester Ross in Scotland for 5 weeks from the 26th. I tend to use CL sites, smaller and more space, cheaper too. Personally I've been lucky enough to always have my van at home, makes it easier for maintenance and loading up.

Fortunately I retired at 54 so work isn't an issue, but I still have to get back home from time to time, last year I stopped on the 15th of December and this year I started on March 1st, long winter but it rained nearly every day so it gave me time to catch up on things
