8 years waiting for my solicitor to get anything done, I know this is not the right forum for, however, a lot of mental health anxiety, facing poverty, homeless and I can't seem to get any good advice from services provided, solicitor included, I really need, not just want a good solicitor, without sounding misogynistic , I just feel after 8 years with no mediation based on greed, I'm desperate for someone to pass on a really good solicitor who will literally take a holistic approach, I know it's not a emotional situation in the courts, but I've tried every avenue over these years from being friendly, astute, have instructed in formally and formally, just a name of a solicitor who really cares about a man's situation, we have no kid's, 3 homes, and monies taking from joint account. I know some may feel that I should not be even saying this on the app, but proverty has been my friend before and I don't think I can survive this time. Please don't send smart answers if you feel I've over stepped the mark with sending this appeal, don't make it worse me, I just want door opened for me and if you can help, I'll pass it on like most of my life.

Sorry to hear about your situation. You sound like you're in a bad place atm.

Have you got in contact with the Citizens Advise?

I can't understand why your ex doesn't want this finalised too.

It's a horrible thing to go through sorry you are in your situation there is loads of help citizen's advice a lot of people make the mistake with solicitors of us working for them it's the other way around they work for you and once they take you on they are bound by law to work on your behalf I took one to small claims and won they were useless dragging their heels not ever getting back to me giving wrong advice try your best to sit down with your ex make her see the financial benefit if ye can come to a agreement the longer it's dragged out the more it's going to cost ye both.

A Town near You!

7 years wait for me! But got there eventually.

If all the paperwork is in order like statement of means, bank details etc. you should put pressure on your solicitor requesting why such a delay.

Good luck🙏👍

Best advice

If they don't defend your interests as it was contracted to

Take them to respond for not doing their work ad it was supposed to

Start there, don't wait

For those whom still married or are thinking about marriage should look/relook after this marriage contract

Bexley

I’ve been there. Worst place ever. We’re only here for a short time so you got to keep fighting and you got to keep pushing forward. Cost me a lot of money and my home. Keep in there mate.

I can’t understand why it’s taking so long unless it’s the assets sharing

No kids makes it easier

If you have 3properties you’re not going to be broke

My ex did everything she could to fcuk me up but you still get through it?

Solicitors are bang in it together, hers got her free legal aid and was better than mine

Ended up 60/40 split in her favour and I was glad to see the back of her

Solicitors playing ye both here. Stop responding to her solicitor, and she will then push her Solicitor to bring it to a conclusion. Every time you respond to her solicitor it's €€€€€€€€€€

Also, insist on keeping one home. And name the one you don't want to keep. Because knowing women, she won't want you happy. She will let you choose one of the other two, then you pick the one you really wanted in the first place.

"Fuck sakes, giving you all this advice for free. Think ill become a solicitor "

A community should always work like this.

Helping each other, lifting each other.

Not against one another as those in power and media/news have been promoting for years.

I hope your advice can bring clarity to his situation and others here.
