Hey guys anybody any tips on sounding have ordered a rod a small one just to start off with.just looking for any tips or any advice in general.

The most important message I keep picking up is making sure everything is clean, preferably sterile, so boiling the sounding rod, using sterile lube, etc. There's a risk of infection or damage to the urethra if you're casual about it. A lot of the advice sort of takes the fun away from it but I can see the rationale when they talk about what can go wrong.

With sounders that can reach the prostate I do follow the advice but I've found that using alcohol wipes and KY jelly on a rod that doesn't go further than the length of the penis works for me (so far).

Some guys might not even do that, using things like pencils or other household objects or saliva as lube. We're all open to different levels of risk but sticking something down your urethra is miles riskier than a dildo up your bum.

I know we shouldn't promote websites on here but I hope the Mods don't mind a link to an article I found, given the importance of getting it right. As I say, it's all about personal choice, same with sex, and we're all grown ups.

Why do people get up to all sorts of things? Some straight guys would find sucking cock disgusting, never mind sticking it in someone's arse. As for sounding, it does sound a weird thing to want to do but the urethra has a lot of nerve endings around it that can be stimulated with a sounding rod or penis plug. Having a wank with a penis plug adds another dimension to the experience!
