It’s generally connected to menopause.

You should encourage your wives to have a chat with their doctors to see if they should go on HRT. It can lesson many of the symptoms and it can also restore libido.

Equally men naturally lose testosterone as they get older which can also lower libido and general interest in sex. TRT is a good way of addressing it.

No you're not alone. I need sex to function as a man and as a human being. I'm not a sex maniac. Its just a natural urge. All normal men are the same. I dont think women understand that. Mine certainly doesnt. Like the OP sex in my marriage is sparse though not completely without sex. A couple of times a week sex would do for me. But meaningful sex. Where we both put in effort to please each other. Rather than me instigating sex then doing all the work in bed. But unfortunately thats the way it is for me. Read through a lot of the replies on this . It’s like reading my situation over and over . The saying what’s seldom is wonderful doesn’t apply to me . Even on very rare occasions we do have sex I just don’t find it all that good . We don’t have sex that often though . Think for me it’s not just sex that I miss but the intimacy. The build up , the first touch , first kiss , I’ve met some hot guys down through the years that I look back on now and regret not keeping in touch . And before any say “ why don’t you leave her “ I just can’t for a number of reasons . Am I weak ? Yea probably am .
