Stockings are best, I prefer with suspenders, they are better looking and more reliable.

Nothing worse than walking down the street and feeling your holdups sinking down your leg.

Stockings are hard to get ahold off now, mostly online, but M&S, boots and some supermarkets sell hold ups, if you get the urge while travelling x

I just discovered Charnos 24/7 large holdups. Sturdy, reliable, no silicon bands, for daily use. Work well with suspenders too. Imho

In my own opinion, hold ups are good (no faffing about with fiddly clips and adjustments) but proper stockings that require said fiddly bits are even better.

I used to love wearing my many many various pairs of stockings (not all at once obviously) with a variety of basques. They helped keep the proper tension on the stockings without having to constantly pull up your suspender belt (body shaping and all that).

For me I prefer hold ups once you find the right brand and fit and hold.

In my experience I found it very difficult to the point frustrating where the stocking sizes can be odd. Then once you get the right size the garter belt can let you down for size. I often find the fasteners can drop too low and they end up above my knees which looks desperate.

If purchasing stockings go with a good brand. Don't go Shein Temu etc. You have to invest in them and go branded. Sometimes Next have lovely styles or M&S are good too.

My advise is take your time think of the sizes and invest in them
