Face pic before meeting, basic fairness

I’m seeing loads of profiles with no face pic lately. I’m not judging anyone, I don’t have one on mine either but here’s my take:

If two people are going to meet in real life, for anything (a date, a drink, a chat, even a hook‑up), then both sides should swap a clear face pic first.

It’s not about being shallow. It’s just practical. I need to see who I’m talking to so I can decide if this is someone I’d actually feel comfortable meeting. And I think that’s fair both ways.

A face pic helps with:

- Knowing it’s a real person

- Avoiding awkward surprises

- Making sure you’d feel okay meeting them

I’m not saying everyone needs to have their face on their public profile. But before meeting up, it should be mutual, no one sending theirs while the other stays hidden.

Curious how others handle this. Do you share your face privately before meeting? Do you expect the other person to go first? Or do you think it doesn’t matter?

I agree 100 % I won't meet without one, at least in chat ,some people use the excuse dont share pics that's no excuse at all, I won't ever meet blind 4 you never know who your meeting .

I really think it doesn't matter.

Age and looks aren't very important for me, hygiene and experience on the other hand are.

"I find the opposite once i share a face 99 times i get blocked so now i dont.."

It's the fear of feeling unattractive and judged but you're better off finding out here than ghosted in the real world.

Why not add to your profile so it clear that you don't meet without a pic share then it clear from the start your terms to meet

I totally agree - sadly I sent my picture to a guy here n Cork recently & then I got a text back saying he knew me so wouldn’t be sending his pic to me - even though I told him I was discreet & just wanted to know who he was - but instead he blocked me - bad form!!!

Out in the Sticks

One has to remember that face pics were taken and used to create Fake profiles, very rampant during Covid!

Are yous nuts. Not a hope I’d share a face pic with anyone on here. First of all to many black profiles that can’t even picture verified themselves, blank profiles with 1 hidden verification, too many talk the talk but don’t walk the walk and I’m not interested in what you look like. I’m only interested in how you suck cock. Put it on your bio you won’t meet without a face picture. Then again Most of yous can’t write or read a bio.

The irony of you stating most can’t write or read, yet you are the one with the spelling mistakes and poor grammar. You made my morning.

Had a guy message me before and his when I replied he told me I obviously didn't read his profile, I said no I was just answering your message, he told me to read it and let him know when I did. So of course I read it and told him I did. He asked me what was the first sentence and I said you want people to reply with a face pic . He then called me ignorant and blocked me...ha ha ...
