Just Ask

Is it just me, or has the etiquette on here gone completely down the drain lately? I’m talking about the post-hookup block in Cork City. You meet up, have a great time, everything is chill, and the second you walk out the door (or they leave), you’re blocked. No "thanks," no "take care," just a digital vanishing act. Look, I get it—not every hookup is going to be a lifelong romance. Some things are a one-time deal, and that’s fine. But blocking someone you just shared a bed with—especially when there was no drama—is just cowardly. It’s like some of you are terrified of a simple "not interested in a second round" or just basic human manners.

?We’re all adults here (or supposed to be). If you’re done, just say so. Don’t treat people like disposable wet wipes. It makes the whole scene feel toxic and frankly, it’s a bit pathetic.

?Anyone else dealing with this lately or is it just the "new normal"?

It's fairly standard behaviour nowadays. From my experience, it is the lack of common decency in simply just saying "not interested in a repeat occasion" etc. But, in their defense in the past, I have received a string of abusive messages after saying such civil things.

I can see how just blocking may seem like an attractive option in some cases.

However, in terms of on here. The block after meeting thing is more common in my experience. The shame or guilt of having a bit of fun with a cock and ass is too much for them and they try to erase all evidence it ever happened. I used to be annoyed by it but now I just feel sorry for them. They usually come back months later with a new account or message you on a different app days later which is funny.

Don't let it bother you. Move on.

It happens, and is annoying, but to be honest I prefer it over the guy who just ignores you. At least you know where you stand with a 'block'

Just because someone is old, doesn't mean they are grown up right?

So many people are clueless how to interact with another human being decently and healthy in deeper level cus their ma didn't teach them properly.(they can be social butterflies cus they're good only on the shallow level)

These people's favourite excuse is "ah it's just a sex pal"

But don't get stressed. They harvest what they seed. I haven't seen a single person who has this kind of mentality and truly happy and satisfied with their connections with others. Emptiness and isolated feeling is what they get at the end of the day.
