Met one years back, knew him from my town. He was married and said was very unhappy. Handsome guy, very nice.

About 18 months later I heard he hanged himself.

I knew another from the gym who was gay but was a top bareknuckle fighter and had to stay in shape

He said he hated fighting, but had to as he was a sure bet and his family would be targeted if he refused to fight. Also gay, he had a thing for a Latvian lad with Abecrombie looks but it was an unrequited love.
