Which central london sauna would you recommend..? Visitin London soon..

Welcome. The saunas are meeting places. Generally with lots of facilities. Attendance numbers varies. It usually depends on what is going on.

They are definitely saunas. They have steam rooms and saunas. They also have dark rooms and slings. Better than bars and clubs in that everyone is walking around in a towel or naked

West London

Portsea - mostly oldies but it's very small and the price is expensive for the facilities there. But you can have some good fun there.

LockerRoom - mostly oldies again and definitely one of the cheapest. I'd also say it has the friendliest vibe where everyone seems to talk with each other regardless if they fancy one another. Reasonably sized venue and decent facilities with free tea and coffee.

Going off a a bit of a tangent here but I was last in London before the pandemic and visited a sauna late one Friday night and was surprised to find doorman working and having to be searched before I went in, if anyone knows what sauna this was can you tell me as I’ve forgotten and have no desire to return when I next visit the city.

Could have been Sweatbox which has a bit of a reputation for rude staff. Their security guy was a bit thick - thought my earplugs were drugs... I won;t be going there again in a hurry.

They used to do searches at Chariots Vauxhall - but Chariots went bust during Covid so you won't be going there.
