London saunas

Cambridge (CB4 Arbury)

I know there are loads of similar posts already, but here is another for the collection .

I'm visiting London at the end of November and am looking to visit a sauna (never been before).

I have been looking at pleasuredrome, there seems to be a lot of mentions about it, but any recommendations would be good.

I guess the only problem I have is I kind of feel I'd be out of place with my body.... I guess I've stupidly got an image in my head of the type of guys that go and I guess the promotional video on Pleasuredromes website wouldn't help things for many guys.

Any suggestions?

When you visit a sauna you will quickly realise that there is a great variety of body types on show. Most sauna websites feature muscled hunks - you'll be lucky to find any of those. You look pretty good.

Pleasuredrome is OK. I prefer Lockerroom at Kennington, always a friendly atmosphere.

Firstly there is nothing wrong with your body

Secondly, all ages and shapes go to saunas

Happy to hold your ( or any other first-timers ) hand if you need

Locker Room. My personal favourite. It's friendly and not too big. Also it's an easy walk from Kennington tube.

Sweatbox ( I have never been) is for the younger crowd

The locker room is good for 40+ and can get very busy on special days

E15 is for the older crowd, and can be fun on Saturday afternoon

Covent garden is nice but small, and has a bar ( free for those under 25 on Wednesday afternoons)

Portsea is good if you like arab guys ( I don't like the place as the steam room and sauna are not hot)

Pleasuredome is a good all-rounder and has a bar

Best is ME1 in Rochester if you want to travel for 1 hour

And don't forget

The Bunker Bar and vault139

I always enjoy Pleasuredrome. It’s a very mixed crowd with plenty of older and out-of-shape types. I wouldn’t stress about physical looks. I like the fact there’s a bar and, despite some comments on here, I’ve always found the staff friendly.

somewhere around there

That sums it up nicely.

Only I would avoid the E15 Club like a plague. The crowd is OK but the place is such a dump thatanywhere outsidd of UK it would have been shut diwn.

The image of guys who go to Pleasuredome is about as accurate as those images at McDonalds , that juicy burger and crisp salad in a pert bun...and then you get a wax wrapper with a flat circular warm sandwich inside.

Go. go, go...u will have a great time. Saunas are for everyone and all shapes and sizes go and have great sex...

Always use to enjoy Chariots unfortunately they are no more, I quite like Lockerroom, haven't been to pleasuredome since before lockdown, Covent Garden can be a bit hit or miss, used to like the one in Limehouse too

If you travel an hour by train from Victoria or 40 mins from St Pancras get to ME1 in Rochester, Kent. In my opinion, by far the best sauna in the south east.

Plenty of guys just go in toilet cubicles, or put a towel over the glory holes in the free rooms. Plenty of ways to get a slight amount of privacy

First gay experience was in the pleasuredome. I’m sure the guy at the counter knew as I was so nervous, still am, but I loved it and it’s a regular go too when I’m in London. Just relax, take in the sights and then explore. I remember approaching a guy in the cubicle, asked if he needed a hand and just dropped to my knees and popped his cock in my mouth. It was my first time and it was amazing. It’s was so hard and smooth it was amazing.

I love the number of first time / married guys who go to pleasuredrome. They often look nervous so I do make a point of flashing them a smile and having a chat. There’s generally a friendly vibe in there

The experience was wonderful, nervous getting stripped for first time in changing rooms, into the showers for a freshen up. Wandered round to get a feel for the place. Watched a bit of porn with other guys to get the juices flowing, seeing guys stroking themselves in the sauna.sat down and watched a guy get sucked off, thought I could do that. Took a stroll through the dark room, my god, hands darting over you, reaching out to feel cocks and balls. Just checking out guys, never seen another guys hard dick in the flesh. Got plenty of eyes but wanted it to be my choice, saw a handsome man stroking his cock in a cubicle, air steward as it turned out, offered him a helping hand, he said yes and I immediately dropped to my knees. The first time I have ever felt a cock and pushed it into my mouth. Sheer bliss. Musky, salty wowser. Lead me by the hand to a private booth and we 69 to completion. Fucking hell.

In London you could one of the following

Portsea sauna, Marble Arch

Sailors, Limehouse

E15, Maryland/Stratford

Locker room, Kennington

Sweat box, Soho

Pleasuredome, Waterloo

You’re given towels on admission, undress, wrap the towel around yourself and go explore

You're a lucky man living so near portsea sauna; it's a great little sauna, older crowd, very friendly. Living so near I'd be tempted to go far too often! As for seeing someone you know....if they see you going in, yes, could be awkward. If you see someone in there that you know well, it's the old story.... embarrassing at first but you're both there for the same thing! Game's up!

Like you I’ve never been to a gay sauna, but I definitely want to soon and Pleasuredrome looks really nice.

The one thing I would say is don’t be worried about your body, you look fabulous, remember this while you are there and don’t be shy xx

This is good advice. You'll see all types and no one judges, it's a smorgasbord of bodies lol. The pleasuredrome is big with great facilities and a mixed crowd verging on the middle aged to younger I find.

Thinking of going to Pleasuredrome, Covent Garden Health Spa or the Locker Room tomorrow afternoon. Haven’t made my mind up yet. Not too keen on Pleasuredrome since it reopened after Covid, but I haven’t been in a while so I might give that a go.

Ended up in Pleasuredrome for a few hours. Bounced between the saunas and the glory holes while I was there. I blew about 6 guys, making two of them cum before I eventually unloaded all over a guy’s chest through a glory hole when we wanked me off after sucking me. Some lovely cock suckers in there.
