This is my personal opinion, I normally go to a sauna in the afternoon, not always the best time to visit.
I like a hot steam room as well as an opportunity for some fun play
Sweatbox, big, younger crowd plenty of play areas, steam room more like a hammam than a steam room two day pass good value, always a few guys arround
Pleasurdome big busy bar nice dark room steam room, big jacuzzi, private play rooms extra.again always an few guys open 24 hours
Locker room, older crowd 50+ needs a revamp ( showers can be cold) but good steam room and good sauna, busy on event days, no jacuzzi ( my London favourite because its normally busy
)
Covent Garden spa, nice clean but small, big jacuzzi but not very busy

Portsea I went once never again, cold sauna and steam room, not very busy
Sailors' nice and big play area but empty
My recommendation is ME1 in Rochester, 40 minutes by train from Kings Cross, clean busy good steam and sauna room
If it's a steam room you want try New Docklands ( not Gay) 4 different steam rooms with different temperatures
If tits fun try the vault or the bunker bar |
