If you don't go when the conditions at Druridge are so perfect, the sea at it's warmest, then you really are missing out!

Further down the coast at Fraisethorpe I know we are going to be busy.

One doesn't have to skulk in the dunes as if you are ashamed of your nudity or have something to hide.

Walk about as much as you like, it is perfectly legal. Hiding away only feeds the perception that you are doing something wrong.

Obviously for sex, the dunes are better!

I am referring to my copy of 'Free Sun's by Phil Vallak:

"Reach Ashington, 17 miles N of Newcastle on the A1068 & on to Ellington.

A minor road takes you NE from Ellington to Creswell & then N along the coast. Continue N into the NT carpark & park at the far end.

Walk down the seafront & then N to the next length of sand dunes (& the area mainly used by naturists) between the car park & Chevington Burn.

I hope this helps you have a pleasant visit.

The dunes immediately south side of where chevington burn crossed the beach. You can park at druridge bay country park and walk south down the beach. About 20 min walk or quicker is turn down past the widdrington inn at the round about. About a mile down the road there’s a left turn onto a road that runs along the dunes. Park at the far end and walk onto the beach and head north about 15mins walk. The final large dunes are where most hang out and play.

Ive just walked along that stretch of beach.

Two guys on dunes, once folk passed and all clear, they strolled onto beeach and enjoyed the sunshine. Good n them....its always been there. I can remember it from 40 yrs ago. As a kid having a peek.
