Last summer I was passing there on my mountain bike, I was riding from Southport to Liverpool via Formby, Hightown, Crosby ect, I took a detour up the fisherman's path, I didn't see another person there, I am not entirely sure I was in the "cruising area" as I just stayed on the main path, although it is still a nice path through the woods.
