Yes and yes. But I have only ever been on a Saturday but I think from other comments made before that's the best day. I have always had a good time there. It's small but the guys who run it are really friendly. Early afternoon is best.

Saturday is also good if you're driving there as there are less parking restrictions in the surrounding area.
