Last time I stayed, I had A refurbished room, great wide screen telly, full size fridge.

The only downside was no hot water on the Sunday due to boiler issues, but that could of happened in any hotel.

I'm heading back on Jan 11th and already got my confirmation of A refurbished room.

It's not for everyone and I get that, but I love it x

Speak to the owners Darren and Paul. If I recall when I’ve stayed there I discussed this with them and it is possible but you have to pre warn them that you have a guest coming and they can only be in your room only not any of the communal areas.

I’m staying there for my 4 the time from Sat 30th Dec to 3rd Jan.

I’d stay in a better place nearby as you can still go in as non resident so I believe. Room stank, only a sink in room peeps obviously pissed in, carpet under it stained with bad odour. If planning on leaving door ajar at night for fun I’d advise not taking valuables, I locked stuff in my car and just kept card for paying and shitty work phone nobody would pinch. Just honest opinion, no agenda, I have heard they are renovating and making positive strides.

Trades have just won a 3am extension licencing battle for Trades and the Moores hotel adjacent

It says there is a connecting corridor between the two hotels but they claim that's just for staff.

I used to stay at Trades quite a lot before the Pandemic, I haven't stayed there since though.

I would always get changed the moment I arrived and would remain dressed en-femme for the whole of my stay. I even wore a nightie when I went to bed. Most of the times when I stayed there I was the only tv. I would have a drink in the bar in the evenings and I was never once made to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable.

Personally I never cruised the rooms at night but I would always leave my bedroom door unlocked when I was in my room. I did get quite a lot of guys coming into my room throughout the night but most, being gay, would just turn around and walk straight back out again. I put that down to the fact that gay men are not attracted to anyone who appears fem and I wasn't bothered by that at all.

There were odd occasions when someone would enter my room and they didn't mind the fact that I was dressed. I suspect to some guys, any hole is a goal so to speak. Anyway, whether I had any interaction with others or not, I always enjoyed every minute of my stays there.
