Is it the layby just a 100 yards before the M6 if you are coming from Manchester towards Liverpool?

If it is I have always thought it would be a bit to exposed as in your car is there for all to see.

If I am wrong about the location can someone PM me the location please, I have spent years driving past regularly but never stopped.
