Planing to relocate over the next year … as part of retirement plans.. any advise on gay life in NE - be great to make some connections gay or bi- be travelling up there a lot from Jan 25 and often alone.. for research purposes - home and personal pleasure!!

Closer to Newcastle, Durham or Sunderland you are the better, however the coastal areas can be a haven for summer fun. And even being out at Morpeth or the likes it’s only 45 mins/ 1hr usually into the city if you drive

Whereabouts in Northumberland? There's a pretty big gay scene in Newcastle so if you choose South East Northumberland you'll be close enough (there's also a new train line about to open from Ashington to Newcastle). Elsewhere into the more rural parts there's very, very little. A few cruising spots though, and a great nudist beach up near Amble!
