Just been been made redundant they have let me go early so thinking taking few months off before going back to work or may even to look at is worth working for my self , anyone else been made redundant

Last time I was laid off I couldn't find any work, very nearly lost my house .I don't reccomend leaving it to long b4 you start looking for a new job unless your loaded .

View it as an opportunity, but don’t wait to get back out there. Things can move slower than you’d expect in this market.

Was made redundant. Felt quite personal. I panicked but got straight down to finding a job. Every day without a job was a day with no income. Leaving things leaves a gap in your CV that risked getting longer. I set up myself as a consultant and picked up some good contracts. One customer then employed me and I’ve never looked back. My old employer did me a favour as I always felt they were on the verge.
