If you're staying in the City Centre, you can't go far wrong with any area around there. The Roman walls, walk along the river, the Rows, the amphitheatre and a number of good pubs!

This.

Chester is so lovely.

The Storyhouse cinema is brilliant too.

We eat at The Architect (near the race track) often.

Make sure to cross the river to the other bank on your walk.

Pop into the Liverpool Arms a friendly gay pub on north gate, one of the few remaining traditional gay pubs.
