is it me or if someone who is not quite local but not miles away either says your to far away so I offer's to pay for hotel close to them at my expense then they say

"Oh only want local people as I don't want family to know"

does that sound weird or is it just me??

Probably wasn't going to meet anyway and thought being too far away was going to put you off then caught out when you offered the hotel option. But a bit of a bonkers response on his part unless his family run the hotel 😄

If people read profiles It say im prepared to travel for meets so if you thought it was weird why reply and you did say that above but you missed the bit out about family finding out and only wanted local meets but enough I've had my rant and there's always 2sides but others shouldn't judge others without full story m/c

It would be interesting and probably helpful to keep this thread open so that all members can discuss the vagaries and difficulties that a lot of people have over arranging meets.A sensible adult discussion without the general moaning and mudslinging would move us all forward as a group,and minimise some of the perceived or real timewasting that we all hate.This comment isn't directed at either of the two main protagonists of this thread so far.

I don’t meet anyone who is local within a couple of miles in case I know them.im not out so it could be very risky .before anyone jumps all over me and says we would both be looking for the same thing so what’s the problem, the problem is that there seems to be a lot of people on here who are not level headed and look to cause trouble when they don’t get their own way and that’s trouble I can do without so it’s best to keep a bit of distance just in case.
