Daytimes at either location is no good. Saturday evenings at the A66 layby can sometimes be worthwhile, during the week it's too busy with parked trucks

I've had some interesting meets at the A66 truck stop. There's certainly some horny truck drivers out there. Maximum discretion, what happens in the cab stays in the cab

Take care with the car park at the Holiday Inn when visiting someone staying there. It's operated & controlled by a private company. 'Unauthorised' visits result in a letter & fine. Potentially expensive & embarrassing. Park around the corner at the restaurant.
