I finally decided that it was time for me to get some blue pill help. So I went to see my GP. I described the symptoms (aka “it doesn’t get hard enough for penetration” and he did a few checks.

Yes - I am overweight

Yes - I have raised blood pressure

Yes - he prescribed me 8 x 100mg tablets per month (which he recommended I cut in half cos 50mg is plenty)

Yes - it gets hard now

Make the appointment, take a deep breath and tell the GP about your “limpness” and you should soon be waking out with a prescription.

Go to your gp, they ought to help.

My problem is a family member is a pharmacist and ensures all family members get their meds and repeat prescriptions so can see medical history so can’t see a way around that

Buy it over the counter at Boots, Superdrug or even Asda pharmacy. Just need to fill out the consultation with the pharmacist, doesn't need prescribing anymore. Then the next time just show the slip to the pharmacist whichever pharmacy you go into and they'll sell it. Simples. Or buy it on Dr fox site for quick delivery without it involving your GP or being prescribed.

8 100mg tablet i was told max was 4 50mg tablets the gp could do a script for.

I get it on NHS after a heart attack a few years back but you wouldn't need to feel embarrassed about it going to your GP.

My trouble is not so much getting it more getting the opportunity with the wife to use it all, I can barely shut the bloody drawer it's kept in now.

It’s much cheaper to buy online. I have been buying it for years. Depends how bad your ED is but I’d recommend only taking 50mg. 100mg can give you issues with your eyes. Cialis is quite good as it gives you 2 days worth of pleasure with one tablet. Food has a big impact with viagra so these days I take it in the mornings on an empty stomach and it’s guaranteed to work within 30 mins. After food it’s hit or miss when it will work and even if it will work. Very little chance after alcohol!! What I would recommend is being seen by a Dr for ED. I put mine down to high blood pressure when it was actually heart failure.

If you’re worried about ED, please speak to your GP, or another doctor if you’re embarrassed. It’s not just normal part of growing older, it’s a condition that may well be the symptom of something else. It’s only when I talked to the doctor about ED that he realised my blood pressure was through the roof.
