I have been going to Paphos, often also referred to as Pafos, for years. It is not as cheap as it used to be; post COVID has seen a marked increase in prices.
It is still possible to find relatively modestly prices for eating out though. If you want to pay for the privilege, you can eat at one the many restaurants in and around the Harbour. Views are great, but places tend to be expensive. Quality isn’t always matched by the prices so I steer clear - plenty of alternatives available elsewhere, arguably better food and definitely cheaper.
Weather in October is usually good - nice and warm, circa mid to high 20’s. I have visited every month over the years, now tend to go March/April (just back), June and October/November. Even November can be mid 20s if not higher, occasional windy day or short sharp downpour, but still decent. Can be a little chilly at night so a jumper etc is handy. January/February are most unsettled months - decent winter temps of up to 15, but wind and periods of rain can be expected.
If you really like the sun and heat, July and August are when to go. Temperatures are easily min of 30 and often go much higher. September a little cooler, but not always by much. If going in hottest months, air con accommodation is advisable. Fans in apartments help, but don’t do much to cool you down.
Main tourist season tends to wind down towards the end of October/early November when many hotels and restaurants close for the winter. Resort is much quieter from here on until March again.
Cock is to be had, but not as easy to find. Apps help - busier time of year, more cock loving tourists should be looking. Quieter months less so. Local guys tend to be older. Not many have appealed to me.
Hope this all helps, you and others.
