In terms of how busy it is very hit and miss but early afternoon on Saturday and Sunday usually decent.

The jacuzzi area has been closed a while for rebuild but appears to be about ready, when that opens i imagine it'll get busier.

There's still sauna, steam room and coffee lounge downstairs and all the usual fun things upstairs - slings, porn cinemas, gloryholes, cubicles etc.

Out of office hours you can use the car park next door, otherwise theres the industrial estate where the Gripple factory is with plenty of on street parking available just a couple of minutes walk away.

Get off the train at Meadowhall station, walk down the steps to the bus station and bus X1, X2 and X17 will drop you off by the sauna. It's about 10 mins on the bus.

My first time i got past that by going with someone I know. No need to be nervous really though, its a small friendly place, tell the guy its your first time when you pay to get in and they'll usually explain it all. Start by relaxing in the sauna and get chatting to a regular if that helps.

Entry price - £15. Discount price for under 25s of £5 except party nights. Discount entry offers of £10 or less available for all after 7pm-11pm Sat-Thur, 5pm-9pm Friday. See website. Card payment only.

Prices includes locker and one towel, tea & coffee, condoms and lube and use of most facilities.

Facilities - downstairs is locker room, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, lounge and garden (smoking area). Upstairs - showers, porn cinemas, glory holes, slings, Dutch ovens, various cubicles, dark space.

Extra cost - additional towels, snacks, products, alcoholic and soft drinks, vip cabin hire.

Ive not been to many other saunas to compare but to give an idea of Boiler Room...

It's an old pub that's been converted and only fairly small.

Entry price includes locker and one towel plus tea/coffee/water, condoms and lube - as well as use of the facilities of course.

Ground floor they have a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and small lounge area. The lounge sells various bottled drinks, crisps, chocolate etc. There's also a beer garden area for smokers.

Upstairs they have two porn rooms, slings, Dutch ovens, glory holes, dark spaces and various cabins.

Locker room downstairs, showers upstairs.

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are naked days.

Every day except Friday they are open midday to 11pm. On Friday they have two sessions, midday to 9pm then party night 9pm to 2am.

Usually busy Saturday and Sunday early afternoon and the early part of the Friday night party. Other times hit and miss, sometimes busy,sometimes dead, hard to predict.

Buses X1, X2 and X17 stop there between Sheffield and Meadowhall. Car park next door available evening and weekends or street parking on industrial estate a couple of minutes walk away (Firth Drive usually the favourite).

Entry £15.

Friday night party always full price.

Other sessions there's discounts during last 4 hours open (so most days that's after 7pm) and under 25s get in for a fiver with appropriate ID at all times (except Friday night).

Its just a separate session of late night opening with separate admission charge to the daytime session - so open noon to 9pm and 9pm to 2am. Just pay on the door as normal but if you want to be in both before and after 9pm you have to pay twice.

As well as late night opening some party nights have a theme, the second and fourth Friday each month is bears night and pizza slices and sweets are available in the lounge.

As well as late night opening some party nights have a theme, the second and fourth Friday each month is bears night and pizza slices and sweets are available in the lounge."

Its separate late night opening. On other days they are open midday to 11pm, Friday there's two sessions midday to 9pm and 9pm to 2am.

Most Friday night "party" sessions have a vague theme, otherwise its little different to normal.

1st and 3rd Friday is Cum Union, pro choice bareback

2nd and 4th Friday is bears night, for those that either are or like bears and pizza slices and sweets are provided.

5th Friday has no theme.

Party nights are full price, tv in the lounge is switched off and the background music is turned up a bit.

Entry is £15, pay on door, card only.

There are some discounts:

Under 25 - £5 entry anytime except Friday night

Evening rates (Sat to Thur) - £10 entry from 7pm or £5 entry from 9pm. Closing time is 11pm.

Evening rates (Friday) - £10 entry from 5pm, £5 entry from 7pm. Closing time is 9pm.

Friday night party (9pm to 2am) is full price of £15 for all.

I've been a few times, Sunday was busiest. I went on Monday afternoon two weeks ago around 1.30pm, probably 10-15 guys. Following Friday was around the same, it's very hit and miss but usually some nice action going on.

Give it a try, always found it to be a friendly place.

Wednesday is usually fairly quiet except now and again its unexpectedly busy. It is possible a dynamic may change at the end of September when the students are back and older folk aren't on holiday.

Monday tends to be the quietest day there, similar to pubs. Tends to be a day at home after doing things at the weekend i guess!
