Because of the train problems going to drive to Huddersfield empire,going to be there all day just wondering if there’s anywhere to park free in a 20 minute walk from the centre,hope someone can come up with some suggestions cheers

There’s lots of free parking. Head for Greenhead Park and all the side streets have unrestricted free parking and it’s a 10 minute walk to Empire.

Station doesn’t close until tomorrow Saturday. Can’t imagine it not having at least some effect.

Thanks, wasn’t sure of the dates. I recently read the taxi firms are up in arms as they get so much work at the station.

Station closed for a month from today,I’m going 13 th September for the whorl day so that’s why I posted looking for places to park free in a 20 minute walk

I parked at Cambridge Road car park. A couple of quid for a full afternoon and less than ten mins walk depending on the traffic lights. Just off the ring road and avoiding entering the hideously fiendinsh Hudds town centre.

There is also fee parking by the Yorkshire Rose pub on Leeds Road....15 - 20 mins walk.
