Does Bishops Wood still see any action? I stopped visiting some time ago when the forestry operations were in action.

AFAIK - no. The last few times that I was driving past I called in and there was no evidence whatsoever of any previous usage, nor any other vehicles. I used the pull in nearest the railway.
