For those of us who like it flat due to ageing knees; canal walks are ace and often out of the way. Mossley/Greenfield/Uppermill on a hot day with some skinnydipping in the river! Bets midweek when it's quieter! Sounds good for a senior's walk and play!

Like anything you don’t know till you try.

Build up with some local walks nice even pace.

Aim to do 4 to 5 miles easily. You’ll be surprised how good it is for your overall physical and mental health.
