Decades ago (1980s/90s) there was a very active cruising spot on the Town Moor. Is it still active?

To answer a couple of messages I’ve had. The cruising area obviously wasn't in the middle of the town moor where it is open for all to see. It was in an area quite dense with shrubbery.

Newcastle

There is a small patch of trees towards the hill.

I was there last summer walking the dog.

There was no one else there.

So I had a wank in the sunshine.

I could have easily been seen

Coxlodge, Newcastle upon Tyne

There’s a little wooded area at the edge (as you head out along Grandstand Rd towards the city centre/West End) that I visit occasionally when walking around there (I go for walking/exercise purposes to be clear, not for cruising, lol)

Definitely gives off “potential cruising site” vibes, so I did wonder whether there was history there of that kind of thing.

I do know Exhibition Park has some history of cruising as well, but I’ve never seen any sign of it during my time living in Newcastle (since 2016). There’s probably way too much surveillance there these days for anyone to bother, lol
