Chesterfield/Sheffield

It has been closed by the police following a raid.

It is highly unlikely in the short term.

Considering that Sheffield City Council has been trying to eject/eliminate “sex businesses” •for years•, and has tried quiet public consultstions, ‘neighbourhood nuisance’, etc in the past, a police ‘substance misuse’ raid seems like a decisive nail in the coffin - so I’d not hold your breath in the longer term.

To be sure for yourself: Check their website, if it doesn’t exist, don’t go.

Call their last known number, no connection/message then don’t go.

They have/had a Hove (Sussex) business too

so if they are able to reopen there is likely someone who can reconnect the site/phone somewhere in the world.

I have no connection, but from what I gather the guy whose business it was has ended his lease and his company has ceased trading. Court order has closed the premises for 3 months and I think it has lost its licence.

However the ownership of the property is unchanged and there is a suggestion that if someone different took the lease on and sorted the licence they could reopen it after the 3 months is up.

Question is would anyone do so given both current economic conditions and circumstances of closure. Would be nice to see it back open given it was the only such facilities in South Yorkshire and actually quite an enjoyable place to go

Thanks for the info. I have actually emailed the Hove sauna but no reply as yet. I visit Sheffield several times a year and always visited a few times. I guess now I'll be trying elsewhere eg Zeus or Plastic Ivy. Been Zeus a few times but not tried Plastic Ivy. I do like visiting Empire but the parking around there is terrible.

Be great if someone got the lease and licence back and had a regular tv/admirer night like before it became the boiler room

I agree with Claire that if it ever reopens it should have a monthly tv night. I used to go when previously as the bronx it held a tv and admirers night. As Alice I had a great time with both admirers and tgirls. 😜

It’s a constant problem for me in Sheffield I can’t accommodate admirer can’t accommodate hotel too expensive etc

We really need a night for TVs and admirers to get together

I was a regular admirer at the Bronx TV night and lost count of the number of gurls I fucked there. It was very annoying when it became clear that the Boiler room people didnt really want Tvs there. And soon closed the TV night down. I hope it does reopen anyway and it would be better if they did have a TV night. Im wondering if Empire can be persuaded to promote a regular TV night. It does attract TVs but would be great if there was a specific day or night for tvs and admirers. Im sure it would be very popular.

Shut down because of antisocial behaviour? Not that I was aware of? People come and go quite discretely in my experience with it. Doesn't sound as straightforward as we've been told to be honest... Complaints from homophobes maybe? I think the majority of people drive past without even noticing it. A real shame... I hope it reopens.

Anti social behaviour..?? I was a regular here for over 20 years when I lived in Sheffield from Bronx days to Boilerroom. Last visited in February when in area. Never saw any thing ever happening outside the place at all. Only ever saw room odourisers being used inside. Considering its a totally industrial area with no housing at all dont see why anyone would have genuine reasons to complain.
