newcastle upon tyne

I’ll start with ones I used.

Big market underground toilets, closed

Toilets outside of st James park stadium. closed

North Shields multi-storey carpark toilets,

Old eldon square toilets next to the stairs on Nelson street and the one on the floor above.

Grainger market toilets.

Ponteland village toilets next to car park still open.

Whitley bay sea front toilets.

Whitley bay metro station toilets,

Three hills woodland reserve.

Big waters

Under redheugh bridge arena waste ground .

The gardens .

Leazes park .

Great fun and memories but sadly most are gone and I don’t drive so can’t get to the ones that are used now as it’s close to the metro centre and a pain to get to.

I think I can add to that list a little

Fenwick's was a busy place ,the wall didn't meet at the back in the lock ups

Bainbridges and Binns shops as well

Also the round car park ,and roof top meet ups from there

Newcastle Library sometimes as well as Tyneside coffee rooms

The old Co-op had it's fun afternoons

MetroCentre had some spots in the 90s as well ,the Carrefore in Red area and the food courts were mega busy

Just what I was told .

Got my first wank in whitley bay fire station toilets, took my first cock in co op newcastle toilets, first gang banged in south beach blyth toilets.

Favourites toilets were Ponteland, Belsay, south beach battery, leazes park & under the city library, favourite cruising was Gateshead Gardens, Gosforth racecourse & Causey Arch

I can add a few more

Toilets Behind Gosforth high street (Sundays)

Heaton cemetery toilets (always busy)

Toilets at Four lane ends metro station (afternoons)

House of Fraser at metro centre

Toilets beside Sunderland uni afternoons

Underground toilets beside Newcastle cathedral

Car park toilets behind shields road (lunchtimes were basically free for all’s)

You could spend the full day in Newcastle going from one to another….. what a way for a teenage lad to spend his Saturdays….

Love all those memories

Two specific memories for me, wanking in the cubicle at ponteland toilets with a guy watching through the hole, he put a note through to follow him, shitting myself but I did, he was waiting outside asked if I was driving told me to follow in my car, we drove to belsay to brick toilets at the entrance to the hall drive where cafe is now, let him go inside first then followed urinals were empty he was in the cubicle, went in he was naked bent over, handed me a condom and I fucked him bent over the toilet, first time I fucked a guy in a public toilet

Back in the late 1980’s I found a tiny porn cinema club up Westgate Road called Galleries. A converted dump of a corner shop showing porn everything except the cumshot back then.

Lots of shuffling and blokes trying to be discreet which was odd because we were all there for the one reason and it wasn’t to watch the films.

Everything was furtive and guilty. Perhaps that made the atmosphere even more arousing for me.

Did anyone get to the garden area above the quayside under the bridges on a Friday or Saturday night after the pubs shut?

I was usually pretty d*unk but some vivid memories

The places referred to in this thread are all generally "before my time", so I'm interested in reading people's stories about them.

I've always been slightly confused as to exactly what area was considered to be "The Gardens". I'm presuming back in the late '90s/early 2000s it was generally considered to be the area near the Long Stairs/Castle Stairs, before the apartments were built around there? Open to being corrected on that.

I learned not that long ago about the toilets that formerly existed on Salters Road, opposite the Sanderson Hospital... also that there were apparently some on Grandstand Road near the Blue House roundabout.

And Exhibition Park was apparently a cruising spot as well at some point? Hard to imagine that now, lol

Shame there aren't many surviving photos/videos of a lot of these places as they were back then.

Used to deliberately get separated from my group to go between here and the Gateshead side looking for a quick fuck, moved on to pottery lane once the building work took over.

Some that may not have been mentioned:

At least three cottages in Leazes Park

Underground at Marlborough Crescent

Small cottage on road behind central station leading to Forth Banks

Before Central Station was refurbed a couple of decades ago the gents under the footbridge was often busy

Before the wastlend on the Gateshead side of the Tyne had the big hotel built on it between the High Level Bridge and the Tyne Bridge, it was a decent place for some action

Small cottage on the Newcastle end if the swing bridge

When Eldon Garden first opened there was a gents on the ground floor - it was always heaving with cock.

Area around the pond at the Exhibition Park.

Great times. I miss them. So many places loved and lost. Much better than trying to find cock online.

It’s what was the underground toilets at the Bigg Market. Closed, left derelict then bought and turned in to a bar.

Interesting… I’ve often wondered where in Exhibition Park people were getting action, as it seems too “open” a space for there to be many places to hide (at least these days, ha)

Before everyone gets misty eyed & nostalgic. A friend was once mugged in the 'gardens' area behind Central Station. It was well known by thugs seeking a soft target & the police. He escaped with several missing teeth & an eye injury which has affected his eyesight to this day. Not so happy days.

Not surprised if Brenkley is being monitored. Not only have I seen guys very indiscreetly cruising and having sex (wanking/sucking in or beside car at parking spots) but the amount of fly-tipping there is really getting out of hand. Entrance to the woods is particularly bad - or was when last I drove along that road a fee weeks ago.

bad things happen anywhere , I got trapped at the arena under redheugh bridge a few years ago when attacks were happening.the blokes came in the cars and chased a few guys and I hid down in the bushes. Wasn’t a nice but it’s life and everyone going cruising knows the risks it entails. Just like you know the risks of every situation in daily life.

It used to be legendary up arcot lane. 30+ cars at times. I had so much fun up there over the years. Got split roasted by four guys in one of the fields at 1am one night.

It all went down hill when they started building houses next to the railway crossing. Someone in there had the ear of the police and council.
