Yes I know there’s ones still about, but they are in shopping centres, bus stations etc.

I miss the good old fashioned ones that were randomly placed on a street, where you had to wipe your feet on the way out.

I’m surprised I never caught anything from them

I spent my (late) teens in so many. Happy days

In the early 2000s I had a job travelling around south and west Yorkshire. I developed a bit of a network of hot spots that are all but gone.

Saunas are ok but there's nothing better than the excitement of going into a cottage and not knowing what you are going to come across. (Pardon the pun)

So many good memories of dirt old public toilets and the dirty older men you could find in them!!

Ps. I know there’s a Newcastle topic, but I grew up in Huddersfield/Halifax

My Favourite was Fartown on the main road. There was also one in the car park next to the police station in Hudds Town centre

Also Skircoat Rd in Halifax, the one by the Bridge in Elland and Welholme Park in Brighouse.

Rodley had a particularly dingy one
