Yes, many years ago.

Made me quite ill, I was bitten on my leg as I had shorts on because it was a hot day.

My leg swelled like a balloon.

Had to go the Doctors to get checked out.

Bites from horse flies are annoying , they swell up and last for about 10 days, I generally spray my legs and arms when out walking where horse flies inhabit
